Jump For Ooch Jump for Ooch is our annual ski show put on in conjunction with KRG Childrens Charities at the Lake Joseph Club. Camp Oochigeas is a camp in Muskoka for children with cancer. Each year we team up and raise money to help send children to camp for a day. Our goal each year is to send over a hundred children to camp. Camp Oochigeas is a privately funded, volunteer based organization that provides kids with cancer and kids affected by childhood cancer with a unique opportunity for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences. Every child deserves to experience the wonder of camp. After all, enjoying the outdoors and having fun are two integral parts of being a child. Camp Oochigeas gives children with cancer the chance to escape to a magical world where sunshine and laughter intertwine, a natural wonderland where friendships and memories replace worries about hosptials and illness. www.ooch.org
Summer for Sick Kids Urban Rail Jam Summer Water Sports (SWS), Canada’s largest water sports entertainment and service provider will be hosting the third annual “Summers for SickKids.” This urban wakeboard rail jam at Boardsports on Yonge Street helps raise money and awareness for Sick Kids Hospital. The SWS team is privileged to spend our summer months in Muskoka. However, so many children are not as fortunate and are forced to spend their summers in hospitals. For this reason, SWS launched “Summers For Sicks Kids,” allowing riders from all over the country to showcase their talent for a great cause. All profits from this event will be donated to the SickKids Foundation.
Drawing an unbelievable amount of attention from the local community, this event raised over $20,000 in the past two year. With the continued support of our wonderful partners we aim to raise $20,000 in 2009. Your assistance and contribution to improving the summers of sick children is greatly appreciated. SWS is seeking both direct financial contributions and non-financial (in-kind) contributions from a range of sponsors. No donation is too small! So please help us slide into summer and help a great cause! With the donated product we set up a vendor village were 100% of the sale goes to Sick Kids.
