Geordie Newlands

Geordie Newlands started working for Summer Water Sports in 2001, and worked his way to the top.  He purchased the company in 2006 and has remains the director.  During Geordie’s first 5 years with Summer Water Sports he worked in almost every role, making him the right guy to run the company.  Geordie attended the University of Guelph, graduating in 2006.  He now lives full time in Port Carling, where he is a member of the Port Carling Fire Department.  Geordie loves all aspects of water skiing.  When he’s not on the water he enjoys downhill skiing, curling, playing hockey and running.

Charlie Newlands

Charlie Newlands has established himself as one of the worlds top
professional Show Skiers. Charlie has been working at Summer Water
Sports for the past 10 years. During the winter months Charlie travels
all the world, spending most of his time in Australia. Charlie skied
at Sea World from the start of 2008 till the last ski show in July
2009 after 37 years at the park. He now works for 2 companies in
Australia, Splash Down Entertainment and H2O Events for the few months
of the year that he is in Australia. Charlie also skies with amature
ski teams such as Stars Down Under and the Western Australia Ski Show
Team. Over the last 5 years Charlie was in Malaysia, India and China.
In 2007 he worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with H2O Entertainment. In
2010 Charlie was in Chennai, India where he skied all 58 perfect shows
at the Kishkinta theme park with H2o Productions. 2011 in China at the
Hordicultural Expo in Xian Charlie skied there from April to June as
the lead show skier. Charlie lead the way at the Ontario Place
Extreme Wake Series for the last 2 summers as well as the Monday and
Tuesday night shows in Muskoka. Once summer was over Charlie was back
to China for a 10 day water ski show in the town of Pengsui. Now back
in Australia, Charlie will be leading a series of shows untill the
Spring when he returns to Canada in preparation for the summer months.
Charlie will be taking the first ever Canadian National Show Ski Team
to the  compete at the World Show Skiing Championships In Janesville
Wisconsen Septermber 14-16 2012.

Geoff Hulet

Geoff first came to Summer Water Sports in the Summer of 2006.  He had spent the previous six summers working at a children’s residential camp.  Geoff is currently the Director of The Lake Joseph Ski school, where he brings a wealth of knowledge to the docks.  Geoff, the native of Mississauga, is a graduate of Fanshawe College where he studied Recreation and Leisure Services.  Geoff is currently enrolled at Laurentian University where he is taking Sociology.  You may recognize Geoff as the wonderful announcer of our Ski Shows.  Geoff looks forward to entertaining you all summer long

David Huggins

Dave started with Summer Water Sports in 1999; he has worked his way through all locations and departments of SWS.  Starting in 2011 Dave will be operated SWS’s newest venture, SWS Marine, located on Lake Rosseau.  Dave achieved a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University, graduating in 2006.  He then worked four years on Bay Street, Toronto; but he always seemed to find his way to Muskoka to perform in countless ski shows.  After realising the suit and tie weren’t for him Dave helped finance a renewable energy company as well as a very robust hops farm. During the winter months Dave spends his time as Downhill Ski coach.
